Sickle Cell Anemia

The condition hits more of our community than I care to see. Hopefully we will understand it better, teach our children what causes it and learn to control it and use it to our advantage one day. As a positive side to sickle cell it actually fights malaria by slowing the spread of that disease through out the body.

Eating a diet of whole foods (foods of the earth not processed or man made) can help our people avoid this condition. We deal with it now because we eat a diet containing processed foods,meat, drugs, dairy, white sugar, salt and white flour.

Red blood cells naturally take on a sickle shape after exercise or stress in people without anemia. If a person is stressed or undernourished, has a weak immunity or dis - eased, suffers from chemical or emotional stress the sickled cells will not rebound.

When the blood cells sickle it blocks the circulation of blood and nutrients and air which cause toxins to stay in the body. The blocked veins cause pain and weakness in muscles, deterioration and weakness of organs and systems in the body, energy loss, depression and mood swings.

God put the answer on earth from the earth for us. Thiocyanate protects African people from sickle cell anemia. Thiocyanate is abundent in cassava and yams (wild yam extract). To build and repair blood cells use vitamin A, vitamin B6 enhances cell function, vitamin B12 regulates blood formation lastly, vitamin C protects the cell structure.
